I am sat in a cafe, the people at the next table are having a performance appraisal. I am very tempted to read the jokes thread, in order to laugh loudly at inappropriate moments.

You have our permission to laugh at their ineptitudes..

They started to appraise us just before I retired and all manual employees got a 3, managers/supervisors all got a 4, directors (of departments) got 5..
Typical council...
The unions let it go....typical.

Wouldn't it be better if they were out o'way when parcel arrived.
Were it yerself that dropped that pin?
Taking yer wallet would be no good, you don't use cash!
Will she be grateful for the worn out parts being replaced.
And you'll be making yer own way home no doubt.
No pain No gain, as they say.

Wallet got a fair battering again,
bike cost, Christmas (spirits etc)can't resist reduced price items:rolleyes:
I used cash at the club last night....(pinched from Mrs M purse)
No, see about for short bike test run.
Unfortunately THAT pill taken so restricted for rest of day..
Enjoyed a free cappuccino (Don't tell anyone I drank it after 11)

Ayup!
Busy as in being chauffeured around whilst acting as a spare pair of arms for carrying stuff. PLA+ travelling eastwards via the big river?
A quick ride! You didn't ride home then.
Ever seen any dead traffic on the roads.

Waitrose, you...

Was there much to batter with?
Bike can take you places in less time than walking. As could the Christmas Spirits of course.
You know which notes are worth what still.
You'll work a way round them in time.
If it were free is there anything to prove it were there? No receipt or anything like that...

Waitrose, you...
Why not, their essential range is top gear....
cheap and cheerful.
Granted some stuff is jeez!
and i save my Maccys coffee money with a free brew.
Only Waitrose I've been in I wiped my feet when leaving. It were an overpriced dump.
Don't blame you for not going.
Aldi and Lidl are dear to you miserable sods darn sarff...

Cheap n'cheerful they may be now.
Doesn't matter how cheap a place is if you're waling on top o'card, or around empty boxes the staff can't be bothered picking up. Having a fag took priority with some of them.
They give you a free coffee, and it's safe to drink it, why not? Not much free these days.
Aldi and Lidl are dear to you miserable sods darn sarff...
Now they've got a foothold, the prices are increasing and quality is going down.

Not reasonable now or not bought now(when you were there).
Next years shopping done now. I'd at least wait until the New Year when they reduce the prices on their seasonal stock.
What's wrong with a silver spoon!

What's "reasonable" these days.
T'as been banned North o'Border.
Those things are dear. £30 upwards a day, once the trial period is over.
Have fun...

Eating my aldi choc peanuts now....
lovely...
Have noticed in the bigger supermarkets, plenty of staff just walking about, the pre-mentioned ones seem to have everyone doing something.

Bike passed its first test, a six mile woodland, tracks and road run,
auld Bob's legs are now stiff LOL.
Hopefully not tomorrow morning as well.
Four months off never helps but I fair enjoy it,
came across this in the local woods
IMG_1014.JPEG

There's one back the trail a bit which was laid during covid...
another just to the left of this, I assume dedicated to the person who's name is on the nearby memorial plaque on a wooden bench.

Supermercado? Mrs M flits about all of them

I know have the set of lucky cats..
you know what will happen now? life will fall apart.

Enjoying them?
Me if I want peanuts, I'll have peanuts. If I want chocolate, I'll have chocolate. A bit like drinks, I prefer them separate from each over, never mixed. Marathons aside...
Seems to be the way in shops nowadays, very few staff actually doing anything or interest in trying to do anything.

Six miles in total. Not bad going after four months off. Yer legs'll thank you, in time.
Anniversary for the person named on the bench?
That type of thing is becoming a bit more commonplace nowadays. If they were ever cleared up by those who put them there they'd look better.

I don't just stick to the one either. The only one no longer used is Lidl. Because of their attitude four years ago.

One might try to find a new home, then it'll need replacing. Couldn't you just glue it back together?

Nah, love choc peanuts....
although separate will do nicely too..
I do have a bar of dark choc planked for later, sssh:whistle:

These ones are cared for, first time in yon time since I was down that path, they have at least cut the tree up that had fallen over the path, well, removed the section that crossed the path, good thinking I thought.

I'm off back for some shut eye..
early radio played.

Sorta figured that bit out.
Is that the one hidden near yer 3D printer, that you printed earlier.

Makes a change, and proves that they do care about the person. Most seem to end up a mess of long dead flowers, deflated balloons and other assorted items left to rot.
Maybe they knew you'd be coming down on yer bike, thought it best to clear it before you got there.

Sweet Dreams...
Chocolate peanuts maybe
