Ok folks. Fill me in while I stick the kettle on. Not been around lately as I've been having fun on the new bike.

What's been going on? Is the world still going to sh&t?
Well, you see it's like this. We're out, but still in.
That fella "in charge of America" doesn't like those in charge in China.
The fella "in charge" here, seems to agree with him. Down to the way he dresses and acts.

Marmite is in short supply, tea is going up in price.
The cows are refusing to cooperate in giving milk, meaning dairy produce may soon be going up.
They can't get the weather forecasts right, some are blaming China, others America for the weather we're getting.

Bob's staying hydrated, I'm my usual, normal self.

Other than that, there's not a thing wrong. Other than that asteroid they're saying is coming in behind the comet.

Nosey? nah, just seeing if any further use...
I know where shops etc are..
I am not away long enough to use them esp now with the mask wearing to go in to them....
Co-ops are handy enough and most places have them...
Now would be the perfect time. With the mask in place, they'd never ID you. Clock you maybe, ID you never.

You got the important stuff located then

No Co-Op here, closed in the late 70's. Nearest is some ten miles away.

In my youth, you'd put on a mask to well, guess:laugh:

I remember my first 'Plaster and Lath' demolition, 'Wear this mask', 'No chance', 2 mins later, 'where's that mask'
that was messy stuff..

apparently my phone Face ID can ID you with a mask on..
there's even a hand washing sensor app out or coming out...

It's a sad day when Turnip and Doris are in charge and when you add yon Brazilian into the mix......
Think China is the go to dogsbody to blame....
Problem is WHO makes everything now?

Also, it's raining in south west Germany. I'm sure you'd like to know that.

On a more serious note @cookiemonster isn't your region one of the more "interesting" at the moment? are you and yours okay?

I'm guessing Google translates "Pfarramt" as "Parish office" because a "Pfarrer" is a priest and "Amt" in the usual context of government departments translates as "Office" In a church context it kind of means "Where the priest/Pastor works" although that's a poor translation. perhaps @Unkraut can come up with a better ecclesiastical term?
In the context I think 'church office' would do nicely. Otherwise Pfarramt is apparently the office of minister you study theology for - hermeneutics, Greek and Hebrew and all that stuff.

I always wanted to be a vicar. You work one day a week, overtime for weddings and funerals, and the pension is out of this world. More tea, vicar ...

If you’re talking about the security law, despite all the press reports to the contrary and apart from HK being much more peaceful now, nothing has changed.

But, we have a third and more infectious wave of Covid just now. All caused by the Gov not listening to their experts and not closing quarantine loopholes for sea crew, where this new wave came from.

One good thing though, very little traffic so it’s great for the bike.😎

Being the son of a vicar -okay, minister- I only wish that were the case. though to be fair the church he worked for had a different system so he was in charge of a number of churches and a large team of volunteers.

It's also surprising how often the local clergy are first on scene in cases of domestic violence, deaths, and alcohol problems, most of which happen at unsociable times of the day.
