Morning, why is the moon still visible then?

It's a bright one this morning even although it's just a small crescent now. I can never remember which side is the new and which is the last quarter. I think it's the last quarter if I'm remembering correctly. Can't be bothered to check.

I think I fancy just a longer walk this morning rather than anything more strenuous.
