it wasn't as bad on the way home, it was the open cross country bit that was pretty blowy.
I did a detour to avoid the worst of it
Forecast had 20 mph at midday with 30 odd gusts,

We have had one nearby which tends to go off at random the last few days,
either faulty or advertising they are away....

Quite glad I don’t have one. Seem more bother than they’re worth. Folk are so used to hearing them, that they wouldn’t investigate anyway, and I doubt if even PC Plod is that interested.

Strangely these are almost unheard of locally. Even where I worked in Stuttgart didn't have one.

Mind you with our clients we probably have most local miscreants working for us, so that may have been the old "Inside the tent pi$$ing out" principle...
