I did. A gentle 9 miles. Apart from the heavy rain I had to wade through a couple of bits of deep standing water too........you can only get so wet and then it doesn't get any worse!

Are we talking large puddles here @Mo1959 , or are you just very stubborn about taking a straight line regardless of Geographical features?

I tend to use bridges and I'm pretty sure I saw some in the UK when I last visited.

Lol.........yes huge puddles from verge to verge so I just splashed my way through. Feet were already wet anyway. I need to start buying a newspaper again I think so I can use them for stuffing wet shoes. I've tried kitchen towel. Hope it doesn't end up a soggy mess inside the shoes
