I think that the common ground of them being soldiers gave them a connection.

My dad has a book on the unofficial agreements between soldiers in the trenches: there's a lot of evidence that the front line soldiers didn't see the men in front of them as the enemy, but rather the rather better dressed people behind.

If you are referring to the soldiers on the photo, I noticed after I posted it that the one on the left has the badge of the French and German Legion on his shoulder.
 
Why not the plastic container it came in. Save on washing up.

In reverse order: I mix the yoghurt with müsli and sultanas in a glass. The glass is (has to be) washed in the cafe washing machine.


How far did you have to go to get the yoghurt. It's nearly three hours since you said it was time to get it.

Hope you shake it off quickly. Weather is indeed horrible. Just not long back from dropping dad off for another couple of units of blood. He won't be ready until around tea time. I think the day will just be spent between computer, reading and drinking lots of cuppas.
