Anyone able to get their head round this?
Card replaced at the end of October
Replacement ordered when it was found to be the wrong sort of card that had been sent out. A sign only card it seems. "Explains" why I was having problems".
Card not delivered in the week, informed bank and instructed to wait a bit longer. Just continue using the card I've got.
Over four weeks into this "wait a bit longer" period, bank blocks the card I have.
Another new card ordered.
Card blocked because I'd advised them of non receipt. This includes the replacement I'd been told to wait for.
Replacement card, blocked by the bank, was never issued. System "clearly shows which cards were blocked, and issue dates".
Replacement ordered, "guarantee you'll have it(replacement) on the 26th of this month".
Go back, pointing out there's no post on the 26th.
Card that had been ordered, cancelled and blocked.
New card ordered, three day wait maximum.
Back today to see why the card got blocked in the first place.
Owing to the fact they'd blocked the card, unable to use chip n'pin to verify account(card not accepted), they're unable to say why/tell me why.
New card ordered(previous card odered the day before, cancelled) guaranteed to be with me in the next five days, but it's just as likely to be in the New Year! Two weeks or more.
Bank staff don't seem to rely on common sense, just what the system tells them.
