God it's wild out there. Wonder if the pooch can cross her legs for another half hour and I will have a coffee while I psych myself up to go out.

I don't mind the rain,
I'll head out in it,
the wind? a different problem.
TV day(after my chores:rofl:)

That Dutch mob have just taken over up here and done away with Club 55, off peak awfy cheap rail fare all over Scotland..threw all my plans up in the air they did.

After me and my mate had been in Mallorca we both started back on Wednesday 1st April and that was the day the Dutch took over Scotrail. So he was wondering what the changes will be. One thing he was glad they kept was the free travel on the sleepers even though they went to a different company. But he was showing me stuff the staff were getting showing them how to cover the old logos and remove logos on the existing uniform till the new stuff is issued in several months.
They wouldn't ask us to do that as we would refuse or just turn up in jeans and make the situation even worse.
I know he said the new company were committed to altering the working pattern so that Sundays would become part of the working week.
That is a bad move for someone like you Bobby that should be enjoying perks of retirement, but I guess like all big companies, it the profits that matter.

I'll just cycle more..
Club 50 is a new idea from them but doubles the price but after checking the price of a single home from a station I hoped to catch the train home...£67 quid cheapest, I can fly to the outer isles for less than that...but with bike would be £80 odd quid. You wonder why people baulk at rail travel north...plus the price of B&B is something else even in wee obscure places.

I priced up a Scotland by Bus pass break..7 to 10 days.
All inclusive abroad would be cheaper.
No I'm not camping, I love a bed too much..

Came back with a cycle jacket, windproof base layer, cycle shorts, some ordinary socks and gel insoles for my shoes
I think you may well need them over the next couple of weeks.

Well, that's the pooch finally walked and I did meet at least two other mad people serious dog walkers out.
