Half expecting stephec to be the first to say something.
Walking wise, you'd have had to stop when you moved. Wouldn't you?
No not at all. We will be 8 miles closer to our customers and could cycle to them a lot more often, even on busy days. It's the 10 miles in and out that is the time consuming bit. Our petrol bill is crippling us so we will be able to take on more work.
We've just had 2000 flyers printed from Instantprint, they'll be here tomorrow and we are going to leaflet the locale with them. I find that we get a hit rate of around .5% when leafleting so that would garner us 10 new customers. At £50 a week each, it's well worth the effort.

That's an interesting number Saluki. 0.5% Good to know your numbers
I've been in business since the mid 80s so I have a rough idea and the half a percent things seems to be about right. I charge £10 an hour for walking, £12 an hour if the dog has to be walked solo so us lowly dog walkers are not badly paid in the grand scheme of things.
I've been lazy with the business of late as we are 10 miles out of the city at the moment and I've lost my mojo of late. I'm feeling a lot more fired up now we know we have the move coming up. Losing a favorite customer has motivated me a bit too.
I do have a plan B in the pipeline, doing something completely different but Hubster will carry on walking if I do make a change.
