Whatever I've got it took bloody ages when it shouldn't have done because of 'improvements' to the system.

And it wasn't at the DVSA end either. Their site has been running normally.

Instead of human error (which it is most of the time) we now have 'Sorry the computer is down'

To be fair the DVLA link was down in 4 separate post offices so I do think that it might genuinely have been down. 2 of the attempts were human error. One thought that 6 months disc would take me to December, another didn't have an discs past December. By the time I got to an assistant with a brain, or a post office that was up to date, the system died.

In this day and age plus the money that is spent on these Government systems, there should be an adequate backup system ready to go. They were supposed to be upgrading their system to cope but I'm guessing as usual, the newly improved software has bugs. They probably paid tens of millions for this..
Only in the computer world , can you buy overpriced software which is bug ridden from the start....I present any version of Windows as an example.
