It wasn't as cold as promised this morning, about 3.5°C instead of the predicted 1°C - I want a refund, damnit!

Evening Morning G'day (or whatever it is there) @victor. Was just admiring the old Darwinian evolution thing on your postings, when I suddenly spotted a coincidence with a photo I took tonight. I was out with the missus watching the Severn Bore (a sort of forecastable tsunami we get on the River Severn on high tides, like during tonight's supermoon). Spot the similarity? (Or have I had one too many?)

Actually, I almost did that myself last night, as the Severn had breached its banks .... luckily only 3 inches deep on the road though. A few years back, though, I was round there with an old school mate, and we were in a silly mood. A couple of boy racers in a hot hatch stopped dead at the sight of the flood water and asked us whether we thought they could get through. I answered with an old one-liner from "The Two Ronnies" and said "I reckon so ... it only comes half way up those ducks". They proceeded to drive on ..... and immediately swamped their engine. For the first time since we were kids, my mate said "Leg it!"

Fed up with this not being able to sleep malarkey. I've taken a prescribed tablet for tonight. Just giving it 20 minutes or so before heading off to lay under the duvet and be awake rather than sitting here and being awake.
