Wire cutters?
She's 14, for goodness sake. Even I couldn't cut off a 14 year old's fingers with wire cutters. Where's your humanity?

You're right. Hand held wire cutters might not be up to the job!
Well, obviously a pair of bolt cutters would do the job perfectly well, but they require two handed operation. That would make holding the squiggling 14 year old still rather difficult.

Anyway, isn't it traditional when holding a hostage to cut the ear off and send it to a relative? The fingers?...............well, that just seems a bit primitive.

One armed use. Place one handle under the armpit & use the hand to close.
Leaves the other hand free to hold the item you're cutting.
