He was 80.
He had been ill with Vascular Dementia for the past 3 years and had been in hospital since November with increasing heart failure.
He was transferred to a community hospital today and took suddenly ill this evening and passed away.

That sounds like my mum. She's 80 and has dementia and constant bouts of mild pneumonia. We're expecting the same outcome soon

Dad had a chest infection and they didn't think he'd see Christmas. He hung on though. I'm just glad it was quick in the end
He looked so peaceful.

I'm just back from the hospital where my dad passed away at 9pm.
