Aww no. At least he settled down and got his reward
My GSD is so fearful of everything, even getting him to the vet (a 5 min walk) is a total nightmare
He was kept in kennels with no socialisation for the first 6 months of his life and because of his hips, elbows and Wobblers syndrome, he is not allowed to be walked (vets orders). Unfortunately that negates his socialisation.
He is happy however, and loves chasing about the garden, his toys and his mummy :wub:
I've emailed a few puppy training places but at 5 months he is too old for puppy socialisation. He'd have to go in an adult dog class and as he barks at others, that comes under behavioural issues so they either won't take him or they charge thirty quid for an hour's session 1-to-1 and I need to go to at least 6 sessions before joining a class. I guess it's a case of KBO with the dog friends that we have in that case. We'll keep introducing him to people, places, dogs and other experiences and see if we can sort him out that way.
I have never been to a training class with one of my own before, I've always managed to train my own dogs to a good standard but I could have done with a little assistance with this one.
