YL - Young lady
XYL - ex young lady (used for married women)
SSB - Single Sideband - a voice mode...

I've never received or sent a qsl ever, I recall once getting an email from a qsl manager saying that his inbox was full and I should send him a self addresses envelope for them all... I never did..

I use eQSL and LoTW...
with an odd direct card, I did get about 40 odd from the RSGB bloke recently...
He didn't want to dump them..I must get them returned...

oh and worked a RTTY station today, my first in years...
