If I recollect there was a UK regional league wasn't there? There were also teams from Brighton (B52's?) and was it the Bournmouth Bobcats? The more successful London teams was the Ravens if I remember and I am sure the year before the Bulls V Olympians game they showed highlights on the Channel 4 show of the Ravens winning the British title.
I remember the Ravens were using an American quarterback who seemed head and shoulders over the opposition. Quite a few of them seemed. to go down that route if I remember
The three I mentioned plus teams from Tyneside, Leeds, Leicester plus the Glasgow Diamonds and other Scots teams in other leagues. I only really remember seeing the Northern section teams as they 'fiddled' it so no English team had to play any championship in Scotland.....
The Bulls did come up for regular season games...
and they had an older (30s or early 40s)cheerleader...phew...
We had a Yank QB Hassbank (Oregon ???) or summit, he was good plus although Scott Couper played for the Bears (one game) and the Scottish Claymores, they had a wide receiver called Sean Airlie who was head and shoulders above anything the UK ever produced in that position, he played College in the states with Oregon Tech (Div 2)

Time to phone home now, or should I say time to hold the phone about six inches from my ear for twenty minutes or so, while I say, yeah, mm, no, right," at the appropriate time until I spot a lull in the proceedings.

Ear defenders are a wonderful invention, I wish I hadn't left mine at home.
Plastic wrapper, crumple it in one hand near the phone. Just like a bit of static. Second handset place it near it for a high pitched squeal.
