Just seen a pair of two car class 172's sandwiched between a two car class 150 and a single class 153 at the rear at Birmingham New Street. :cuppa:

Actually a combination like that is a recipe for disaster. If you end up with a mix like that you often end up with unsolicited brake applications, a disaster for blocking the main line up. They don't like being coupled in multiples like that :headshake::thumbsdown:

Sounds worse up your part of the world. Not bad here, quite sunny first thing but strong westerly wind blowing and quite cold. We managed a lumpy 55 mile ride, it seemed a lot colder after the cafe stop. Still it was a pleasure to get out and a good workout over the lumps

Chapeau for getting out - I got up at 8 but snow on the ground and impending dampness meant no cycling for Fubar

Contemplating going for a run if it holds off though...

You're the first girl who's ever said that to me.

You'll have to use some of those rubber thimbles they use to count money in the bank.
I won't be practicing tonight. It'll be okay once my finger tips harden up again. I haven't put in much practice for quite a while.

Looks like we are in for more rough weather in the coming days if the BBC weather forecast is to be believed. Glad I managed to get out as it can be a bit tough to get miles in this time of the year
