On the subject of ladies liking ladies, it reminds me of something I heard today.

I was visiting my great auntie Nell in her nursing home and the three care assistants were in the kitchen, they were discussing their love lives when one of them walks out of the kitchen saying, "I'm that desperate, man or woman, I don't mind," just as I came round the corner.

You should have seen her face, she looked at me and blushed, "oh, I didn't know you were still here."

Not that desperate then!
