evening chronicle says gateshead is putting in a bid to host the tour de france ? they have listed possable stages! most of the routes n hills i ride!

Lets hope we get it back to the UK as soon as possible. It was a fantastic spectacle and we should be proud of what was achieved. That would be the furthest north it has ever been.

Good afternoon to all you connoisseurs of coffee quaffing (& nasty tea stuff) :hello:

On the plus side I managed to find an e-certificate voucher thingymybob so I'm off to get some e's with it, or a nice shiny new bike.

Winstanleysbikes (Wigan/Pieland) phoned Tuesday to meither me for it...
I thought I got sent a physical certificate through work & no-one told me any different, but hey, now I know, I can let the Dragon know, not our Dragon but my Dragon. :B) :surrender: :B)

Possibly good bye to you for a bit after you have told her.

Sorry to hear about the weather back home it's really miserable.
Still beautiful in Mallorca sunny warm and blue skies all day. A lovely 68 mile ride today. About 32 to the cafe in Santa Maria for coffee gorgeous chocolate cake and a coke. Then we decided to do the mountain climb up to the monastery at Lluc via the Selva gorge on the way home. Sat on balcony with sore legs now.

Back online after our electric check today. The power was on and off for a couple of hours. Gas check at 0700, Elec check at 10am - which turned out to be 11.45.
HA says that we are ready to move now and all is well:thumbsup:. However, the chap that we are swapping with has 'not been available' for his gas and elec check, despite the fact that the council fitted a new kitchen a fortnight ago and the bloke had to take 2 weeks holiday to be on site at all times. Seems that the council couldn't marry up the pair. The council will "potentially look at the paperwork on the 17th October to give their tenant time to bring his rent account up to date". The chap doesn't want to move on the 18th as it's his birthday, the following week he will be borasic as it's just before payday but he can 'possibly' do the weekend that incorporates the 1st November. :banghead::banghead:

If you know that you are moving and your account must be up to date, why the heck isn't it? I cannot believe that this is taking so long. Our Mark moved last year and it took 4 weeks from start to finish. This will probably be 9 by the time that the council and then our swap partner have finished messing about. Seriously considering unpacking. This is getting a bit stressful. Our flat is a tip as it's full of boxes. We are going to spend tomorrow putting absolutely all the boxes into the spare room. Moving the guitars and amps to the bedroom or living room, just to get the boxes out of our sight.

What a bloody palava. Has anyone got the kettle on? Spare cake? All my cake tins are packed and I cannot bring myself to eat shop bought.
