Nobody is around & I joined late (playing catch up classic).

I have been chief WasherUpper today & Play-Doh monitor/operative.

Sunday I went to see my mate on part of a sportive (the Bolton Bash) the part that reaches 25% gradient & almost at the end of the climb.

I waited for him with a hot coffee & a Snickers (opened & at the ready).

As he wobbled & weaved up the lane I couldn't help but take my 1st bite & shout a cheery "chapeau" as I took my 1st photo, then a slurp of brew, sat in comfort on a drystone wall.
(He took it well).

There was all sorts of cyclists on all sorts of cycles tackling this (65 mile route), from a guy in full lycra (but with flat cap) to a guy in a Team Pie jersey (a bit tubby) young ladies, older ladies, MTB, carbon racers, touring bikes & the like.

Seemed like a really good event but sad not to be able to join in (lack of fitness & back troubles) but yet good to be able to cheer them all on.

I saw two guys both meet a catastrophic end to their event right by me, one with a snapped rear & one snapped front derailleur.

A good couple hours spent on a Sunday morning.

Good afternoon to one & all.

Call your new axe Boogie (very close to Bogie) & "Malmsteen" - wow you are doing well.
Never tried anything that difficult..

I kind of plateaued at just a bit better than SHI..
Malmsteen is not that tricky if you don't try to play at warp speed. My Evil Eye is not too shoddy. More 'really naughty' eye than Evil. It's coming along. I'm learning the first 30 seconds of Far Beyond The Sun now. The Beatles are just so much easier.

We think that the new guitar is going to be called Andrew. I'll sort out a pic of him later. Packing tonight again. The big inspection starts tomorrow at 10 when the surveyor chap and the housing officer arrive. H.O says that he's doing the paperwork there and then so we might be able to move a bit sooner than first anticipated. I really hope that we can get a move on as I'm now bored of being surrounded by boxes. We are going to try and get it sorted for this weekend if poss or for 1st Oct as we are off work next week (except for 3 wee dog walks right by the hospital at dialysis kicking out time).

Hoovering time now
