During my tidying session this weekend I have had the main room lights on, two 100W spot downlighters, two 30W fluorescent tubes and an anglepoise lamp.
I am surprised, though I shouldn't be, at how much happier I feel in the bright lights

then my usual 11W CFL uplighter and twin 10W halogen task lights.
When I first designed the room I put in the two downlighters and much prefered the light when compared to an ordinary pendent lamp. I only wish I could get an equivelent CFL but they are all made with a longer body then the tungsten lamps and so stick out of the downlight fitting casting a shadow on the ceiling making the room darker.
Enjoying a

now.
Cheers Speicher!
