Have you decided what pressie to get yet?

For the person in question, the most inappropriate things would be a book on fine woodworking (he drives screws with a hammer) or a book on expecting a baby (he has two children and has just had the snip...) but I'll have to see what I can find - such is the nature of charity shops!

Right, I really better get up and on with it!

The Charity shops round here are really good ones. There was one of those spherical jigsaws, new unopened, £1.50 which I bought as a present for someone. Also a new mug with a picture of a black and white cat, (49p) which is probably a present to me from Tasha. ^_^

Don't mention hammering screws in to NT!!! You'll bring him out in a rash.
It pains me when I see people abusing tools. A screwdriver is not a form of crowbar...

I did once convert an electricians screw driver into a 3mm chisel during a live action wood work competition at a trade show...

My filing is done and I have two desks, a sofa and kitchen worktop space again!
Just need to sort out the waste paper to remove the confidential stuff.

Time for :hungry::mrpig: and :cuppa: now.

Well, sparkies are beyond the pale anyhow...

Hmmm, and what was NT before he was a woodwork wizard?

Well, I'm just back in, and I've done a large proportion of my Christmas shopping! :highfive:

Humph, no smug smilie any more....

Time for a turkey and cranberry sandwich, a reduced tiramisu (in fat, and in price) :hungry: , a cup of tea :cuppa:, some time online :addict: and then it's...

 tidying up time.....

I was a council manager, regeneration and development most recently, and supported housing before that.

Prior to that I was an electrical and H&V engineer providing building services.;)

I still have two 'miscellaneous' piles of filing to decide what to do with and I small tower of old CDs of the sort that came free with magazines and also ones with the internet on.

During my tidying session this weekend I have had the main room lights on, two 100W spot downlighters, two 30W fluorescent tubes and an anglepoise lamp.
I am surprised, though I shouldn't be, at how much happier I feel in the bright lights:sun:then my usual 11W CFL uplighter and twin 10W halogen task lights.

When I first designed the room I put in the two downlighters and much prefered the light when compared to an ordinary pendent lamp. I only wish I could get an equivelent CFL but they are all made with a longer body then the tungsten lamps and so stick out of the downlight fitting casting a shadow on the ceiling making the room darker.

Enjoying a :cuppa: now.

Cheers Speicher!

The whole internet? How many CDs does that take?

Could you print it out?

Right.

Must.

Tidy.

UP!

Better make a cuppa to help me along.... :cuppa:
