Tea? (Part 2)

Morning, calling in to apologise. I left a couple of posts last night, checked in here and then promptly went to sleep without bothering to answer anything. Very impolite.
Anyway, there's something disheartening about waking up to a rainy day and then checking the Met Office to see when the sunny bits are about and then finding there aren't due to be any... I don't mind getting caught in a shower when out but am not man enough to start, go through a ride and end it in rain.. so taking a leaf out of my mothers book I'm going to rearrange the furniture in the kids rooms, it keeps them on their toes and makes everything have a sort of fresh look without actually buying or doing anything else!
Coffee and breakfast first though, and a good old procrastinate.

Morning ianduke. I don't like going out in the rain either. As you say, it's all right if your caught while your out, but I wouldn't choose to go out in it. Have fun rearranging furniture. I'm going to be reading today I think.

I have been to Lidl and bought myself a backpack.
It's drizzly and horrible and I may have to go out this afternoon to collect Priscilla!

Hope Priscilla is raring to go again after her fettle SL, even if the weather isn't playing ball.
I have a feeling after yesterdays wearing jaunt on the motorways that my procrastination might last all morning. Or it might not... but then again...

Never mind. Have another cup of tea. I've just made a ginger cake. It was going to brownies, but ii needed unsalted butter and I only have salted so ginger cake it is, or it will be when it comes out of the oven

Mmmm.. ginger cake fresh from the oven... I'm going to have a cuppa now, I'll just have to imagine my Rich Tea is a slice of your cake.

I'm not au fait with the technicalities of baking, MrsD does that, I do the Asian, Moroccan, Italian, Mexican, ermm, well, she does the baking, but ummm, is salted butter not the same as unsalted butter and a little bit of salt added?
(I'm going to get one torn off here, I can feel it coming....)

I got changed, grabbed my gear and caught a bus into town.

5 miles later, I'm back. Headwind, drizzle, but got up the cemetery hill in one go and a higher gear than usual!
I now want food but I'll have to cook it first!
But first Priscilla needs a wipe down...
