I go with the ice lolly plan. I find a nice rocket lolly or a calipo helps a lot.

Any sugar 'feeds' the bad bacteria but hey! I'll do tests with a Magnum any time...(no not the gun)

A quid for 8 of them at Tesco, Asda etc. Yum.
OH is only allowed 650ml a day of fluid so the lollies are great for him. 45ml and they last longer than a small drink of squash and quench his thirst for much longer.
