Good morning, just got back from 2 hours of John Cooper Clarke, I doubt he will remember much, he was well oiled  not the best evening out although his first support act was very good, the second was ok.

good luck...important to stay motivated, applying for jobs is a journey

Thankyou FFJ; it can be difficult to stay motivated in the current market - the jobs I usually apply for receive many applications, I think from my last 15 applications I received only one response telling me I was unsuccessful - it's the lack of acknowledgement that can be disheartening. Having said that, 4 hours after I applied for this job I received a reply saying they would be calling me in the week to discuss the position! :hyper:

Anthem, although mislabeled as Captain Kangaroo Theme Song, it is actually Puffing Billy, written by Edward White ,about an Australian Steam Locomotive. Although in the States, most often associated with these two characters, Captain Kangaroo (Bob Keeshan) and Mr. Green Jeans(Lumpy Brannum) Great Childrens Tv, and sold many a Schwinn Bicycle (The shows' sponsor.).

Peco do the track, but Marklin seem to be the only one making the rolling stock.

Reminds me of every day I rode the Peoria Rocket on the Rock Island Railroad from Peoria to Chicago, back in the late 70's on college visits. My dad always used to claim it ran on 2 streaks of rust. We'd stop for "regulars", sometimes in the oddest places. It was always a surprise when we arrived at LaSalle Street Station in Chicago, right on the Loop. Such a contrast from all the bucolic tarrying of the trip up to town. Friends called it "The Hayseed Limited"
