They have literally just exploded in a short time....
I passed the usual spot where they proliferate yesterday and nothing, I wonder if the farm building and the shelter has made them appear earlier than normal but more probably confused with all this mild weather.

Its amazing isnt it? We have loads of frogs in our pond now and there are signs of life all over the place even though the weather has been so wet

This has been the first winter that I haven't planted thousands of mixed bulbs and wallflower for almost 30 years at work...I certainly do not miss the digging but enjoyed seeing the fruits of my sore back each spring time.

Reminds me to check the pond, the only thing that concerns me is the mild weather hasn't tamed the microbial activity. Might need to get the filter pump in service sooner than expected...

That's where I am lucky. We have a pond big enough to sustain itself. We use a pump in the summer to pump water from the stream into the pond if the water gets to low though

Quite well, We're above zero Fahrenheit here now! Dogs are playing tag in the yard.

Nice. Lets hope it is the light at the end of the tunnel as far as weather goes, although we both know that winter is always prepared to kick our arses when we least expect it, especially in your neck of the woods.

Very much so, although the jet stream will soon be following a more stable pattern with the advent of spring.
