Why would anyone want any kind of enema? Some say it is good to cleanse, others say it is dangerous due to the risk of tearing and infection yet folks still do it

They used to do it a long time agao when women were pregnant and about to give birth. It happened with my sister, but by the time I had my kids they had stopped doing it thank god.
