What surface is the canal towpath, from what i remember from my fishing days on the canal it was rough grassy muddy in bits, has it improved?

Most, if not all of it, is now hard packed gravel. It's not totally even so if it's rained hard you do get large puddles but on the whole it's very good! It's well maintained, as are the canals.

Saturday is the day, have to have everything sold and headed to Texas Saturday morning. The camper needs to sell by Friday. All the work is done that I can do (other than cleaning today) and I posted on Craigslist this morning.

Is there a free cycling log that has a phone app but also has the ability to post the mileage (like many of you have here) and update it directly from the app?

Not buying a car, the ex bf is driving me to Houston, TX so I will be cycling everywhere when I get there. I don't need a bunch of features, just date and mileage for each trip.
