However, Mr Hop is cycling to Cambridge tomorrow. The weather map has lots of dark grey clouds right across it. And wind arows pointing directly from where he is going, to where he is starting from

I have a turbo trainer but it's been folded away and covered in dust since I bought some mudguards..

I really don't like the rain and it's not just rain but high winds as well. As I am not an experienced cyclist, I will not be venturing out...
In my opinion an wise, 'experienced', cyclist would stay in when the winds are high and the rain is lashing as it isn't safe.

Joyous news indeed. Well done. It is a very nice evening thank you. 2 Grandsons are staying the night. Luckily they arn't babies anymore, so are a lot easier to look after. Thank god.
We have stopped taking strays. We only have 2 bedrooms and the spare got turned into a bikes & turbo room when our youngest went to uni a few years back. We dumped the bed & furniture so that we couldn't reverse the decision.

Very wise. However my grandsons don't mind sleepping on the floor just as long as they can stay here. So that would not work. We just can't get rid of them.
I suppose some get joy from family. We are planning to spend more time abroad in a couple of years time just to get our own lives back.

I don't blame you. When you have worked all your life and brought up your family, it is nice to get your own life back and not have to consider anyone but yourself..
