Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
No all is ok , nativity's are in full flow, Carol singing tomorrow in village with the cubs . I reckon in a funny way the run up to the 25th is better than the day.

Yes.it can be. Everyone is so excited in the run up that by the time christmas day arrives everyone is exhausted. Then when all the pressies as opened the rest of the day is a disappointment. Plus the fact that everyome is stuffed full of food. Lol

Mr dragon bought me a very expensive sweater from next once for Christmas. Then the sales happened and it was less than half price. He hated the dam thing then...

One of my colleagues is very shallow and materialistic, today he was telling everyone (whether you were interested or not) about the Christmas shopping trip he had with his wife and how much he spent on Pandora charms for her bracelet. We all get to hear what he buys for the kids and how much the things are, he is only a design engineer so when he says he bought it it is more likely that the credit card company actually own most of it but he talks like he has loads of cash, his wife works part time shelf stacker so she doesn't earn much. He is such an arrogant, patronising bore.

When my older nephew had his first advent calendar a couple of years ago (when he was 3ish), he was in tears on the 23rd, because "after tomorrow there won't be any more chocolate!"

It was explained that there would probably still be chocolate after Christmas, and he was happy again.

I got a pandora bracelet complete with a lot of charms. It cost me £5.00 and came all the way from China. Bought it on ebay.
