For those of you who don't know, today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. ; such a weird and pointless holiday. I mean really, I can visit family and stuff my face until I'm sick any day of the week.
But thats because Christmas isn't a legally recognised holiday in all of America.

I'm a tad frazzled at the mo. but otherwise intact.
Work has become almost full-time now and I'm in the middle of taking the Cytech cycle mechanic course but all is well.

So I've missed out on the news, congratulations to you both, I believe? :hyper:

Yes, thank you. We've set a date in June, and now that the bedroom and bathroom renovation are nearly complete we can concentrate on organising, although we're going for as simple and stress free as possible!

Glad you're busy, hope the frazzling dies down!

Loch Ness is a long way from here. Lovely cycle had along the south side a few years ago but WDs sister didn't put in an appearance for me. Seems only to appear when the Haggis are in season

I've always wanted to see her. Maybe when I do that haunted castle tour by horseback I'll head over there and camp for a few days. When is Haggis season, maybe I'll bring some with me.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

IT's in season any month with an R in it. boil it for 3 weeks then throw it away. it's a bit like sprouts. Disgusting.

You stand a good chance of seeing her. Statistically she has been seen by more Americans than any other nationality............Just can't imagine why that might be:wacko::hyper::whistle:

But I'm very thankfull I don't have any family nearby. Or have any food to stuff myself until I'm sick!
Do you do the same at Christmas too? Americans in general I mean. Family and stuffing yourself until you are sick.
Speaking for myself I don't think that I could cope with family twice within a month. Always room for cake though

Christmas is more for immediate family.... only socialites actually dress for christmas, the rest of us stay home in our pajamas, open presents listen to christmas music, watch movies, play with new toys have a nice dinner etc.
at least that's how it was for my mom and I, can't really speak for other larger families
