I managed to find someone in America without even leaving the house!
I do however have her family name & first name. Makes things a lot easier!

Had an Ebay clown mess me about once. Took payment and made lame excuses for several weeks for not despatching goods then ignored all communication. Took me just 24 hrs from setting out to not only get his address, phone number, place of work and date of birth, marriage, trace a couple of newspaper articles concerning his "previous" but also have an old army buddy local to him knock on his door and collect the goods plus the previously paid post and packing costs. No one is invisible

Property for sale In SY20 circa your move from Brum aprox 10 miles from Machynleth, 25 from Aberystwyth throws up two possibles. Have ruled one out as missing a vital ingredient, no chimney. You did mention firewood earlier didn't you
