I tried cider once. It didn't go well. I hope yours works ArchI hope not, I'm not sure he'd have a good effect on fermentation...

That's sort of what I did. Needed muslin to stop the fruit flies diving in. It did ferment as there was some alcohol (forced some down!) in it but it was not particularly nice to drink. Not sure why and never repeated the experiment.So do I, we intend to drink it at the wedding!
I've been told to let it ferment in a bucket initially, then when that dies down, transfer to demi-johns for the final fermentation, and then into bottles.
