Um...

WTF!!!!???

We're just back from the Model Railway show. Our car boot plans were scuppered by the car boot being cancelled "Due to Adverse weather conditions". Maybe they thought people would get sunstroke, it was lovely out!

Anyway, that meant we were at the Model show just before the doors opened at 10, queued to get in, and left as it closed at 5! Lots to see. NT got some useful advice on a project, and I fell in love with T-scale:

http://www.tgauge.com/

They only have the fairly long mainline style locos at the moment, but apparently there's a shorter single bogie loco in the offing, ideal for little branch line modelling, the sort of thing I like. Or, to make a garden model railway, within an OO scale layout....

The figures are like grains of rice. Only maybe smaller:eek:

Much needed :cuppa: being consumed, before I start on dinner.

Fab...well done Jo. That's something to look forward to.

Are you flying? Eurostar? Driving? Cycling?
It's a proper classy affair. Coach and a ferry and what will probably be one of the worst hotels in France, nay Europe. Travel on the Friday (not looking forward to the drive but I love ferries - my friend is the opposite), sightseeing on Saturday and a trip up the Seine in the evening, then :hyper::bicycle::hyper: on Sunday, home on Monday.

Squealy flanges in the Austrian Tyrol? Was it the line from Jenbach to Pertisau?

No, the squealy flanges were on a different model, a British diesel.

There were lots of layouts, and an amusing amount of socially inept railway modellers;)

Also, very amusing, we were looking at a layout, and next to us was a small boy and his Dad, and beyond them, his Mum. She got joggled by the crowd and dropped her water bottle which rolled under the layout and had to be retrieved. She was most apologetic, and the little boy (must have been 5 or 6).said very clearly and loudly "So embarrassing!" Everyone in earshot laughed.

I think that's the sort of thing Oli would say!

Today I did some seed planting. Into pots and trays and then taken into the conservatory. I must have some in built faith that things will warm up soon and the seeds will germinate and the plants will be fine for planting out. Never thought of myself as having "faith" Or am I just  ?
