I recycle my eggs boxes, when I go and buy some more eggses. At one stage there was a webcam near the eggses so that you could see the hens at the farm, in the outdoors, wandering around like chickens should.

I would be interested to see how they work as a creative craft activity. ^_^

I was thinking people could cut off the necessary bits to create the Wol, then decorate it with paper feathers and googley eyes etc...

In other news, I've just started a Tumblr photo blog:

According to the NW weather forecast we are due for heavy snow from tonight through to Saturday night, 4"-6" in Manchester and 8"-16" on the hills into Yorkshire!

That might make ColinJ's walk interesting, also Arch's journey over here.

I know that this is not a political thread but I blame the Coalition for the cold weather. I'll not vote for them again. But which party is the party of warm weather?.......goes off to search for 'heat wave' in the various manifestos :giggle:
That'll be the Beach Party.;)

Oh bugger! I wonder what tomorrow will be like here. Today was really rather nice and springlike.

This seems the right time of year to mend the cushion on my sunlounger. I have been searching through my, not inconsiderable stock of fabric, and cannot find the right piece of fabric that is big enough, and wide enough and thick enough. The underside of the cushion has perished, due to the sunlight. The upper side is dark green and still good.

I am also going to make some new cushions for the sofa. I have two large pieces of fabric ideal for the fronts of the cushions, but not a matching, not-too-heavy, piece for the backs. Instead of purchasing a new sofa, I have decided to shampoo it, get new foam for the seat cushions, and make new cushions. ^_^

Were you and NT separated at birth?
Possibly

^_^

I have just found on BayE two yards of navy heavyweight cotton for the back/underside of the cushion. This will not be seen, and I can use the "in stock" floral fabric for the front. The whole thing needs covering other wise I will end up knee deep in the bits of foam particles which are in the cushion.

The sofa is very comfortable, and was bought second hand about five years ago. It is starting to show its age. But, and this is a very big but* it is cat-proof. I have no intention of spending money on a new sofa, when I am reliably informed that they are alledgedly made of cardboard.

* Please note that is "but" with one t, not two. ^_^
