It is so peaceful and quiet here, in this quiet part of a quiet county in the quiet western part of quiet Worcestershire, that moving to the outskirts of Coventry would be very silly indeed.

There would be one row of houses between me and a busy dual carriageway, whereas here there are about 12 houses between here and the end of the cul de sac.The nearest dual carriageway is about several miles away. I think I would get worn out walking between the two houses. Tasha and Leo would miss having a large field to explore, and so would I. It takes so long to sell a house these days, that by the time I moved she may well have moved. My brother has mentionned the possibility of her moving closer to them.

This is a lovely market town with lots of facilites, and very friendly people. There might not be any decision to make really. ^_^

Easier to move your mum S!

Depends how much stuff Wol's mum has... <memories of downsizing Grandma to a semi-detatched>

But I have to say Speicher, you sound happy where you are, and the advantages of the move might be minimal. After all, you can get to your Mum's relatively easily I think, it's not like you'd be moving 100s of miles closer.

NT worries sometimes about moving me from York to Manchester, but in that case, there's a pretty massive advantage to the move - being together! Anyway, I make my home where I live, it's just another chapter in life.

Wherever you lay your hat... + it has the advantage that it won't float off.

True!

I've just been reading online about potential improvements to NT's local station, which is due to have a new building by this summer. Very exciting. Maybe they could get some electronic screens for the platforms too. Or even numbers!

My train today was delayed by half an hour, and the ticket office chap had to come down to the platform and tell us all! Still, that's service, he could have just sat in his office and left us to stew, or go and make enquiries. There's a group of Friends of the Station who do gardening and litter picking and so on at the station, I reckon I'll be joining them when I move.

Brilliant. I like the idea of 'baffled drivers'. Just imagine it

Bert: Oh look it says Whelsh Bridge is closed
Doris: Where is Whelsh Bridge?
Bert: oh! I thought they meant Welsh Bridge, do you think there's a difference
Doris: Well there might be
Bert: Darn it, I'm baffled now...

Ugh, I hate football traffic! Is it possible to even have negative numbers of brain cells or negative level of intelligence?

My satnav is stupid too!
I needed the nearest fuel station and so I programmed it to direct me to the nearest. As I followed the directions down to a dual carriageway to turn right I noticed as I was turning that there was BP on the left just around the corner that I could have gone to. However, I was committed to the right turn and figured I would go to the one the satnav found.
Stupid satnav was directing me to the another BP station, that was further up the dual carriageway and on the other side of me!:cursing:

Much :cuppa: needed I think, and maybe some Haribo.
