I once won a prize. :thanks: Not a big prize admittedly but still. I was travelling across Canada by train (from Toronto to Vancouver) and we arrived at the foothills of Rocky of the Rockies. While I was in the Observation car, (aka coach) they started talking about the height in feet of the mountains. There was a French couple sat near me, and I could see their confusion trying to work out the height in metres. In order to help them I started working it out, and then the Train Guide person asked if anyone knew the height in metres. Cue me raising my hand timidly, and saying wot I had worked out. ^_^ I must admit to being surprised at being so close to the true answer. x thousand feet, divide by 3, :unsure: but that is in yards,:scratch: so take off another :wacko: ten per cent.

I still have the Canadian Railways badge. ^_^

Sq metres x 10.764 to get sq ft [people refer to house areas in sq ft and land areas in acres still, because estate agents are very slow]
