i got quite emotional walking from York racecourse into town on the route on sunday. the barriers were being taken down, but the roads were stil closed and almost every house had been decorated in some way. people were still having parties in their gardens... then there was the street party.

i took some photos of various shops, etc, but i'm still uploading them as i have just returned after the London stage.

all i can say is WOW. Yorkshire you did the country proud. it was an amazing couple of days up there, the London crowd was sedate in comparison (although, to be fair it was a work day, so it was always going to struggle to get a full house).

i loved the yellow bikes, but most of all i loved that everyone was so proud of Yorkshire. i'm not sure any other county could have pulled it off.

Any tdf signs are collectible ,I have a 1978 sign in my kitchen,not that I would endorse the removal of said items!
