So, there you go.
We've had examples of well behaved taxi drivers, teenagers and white van men who all don't wanted to be branded as hooligans because of that asociation.

As I said earlier, my closest shaves today were with otherwise responsible well behaved citizens who just don't get it that the bike actually really does have a right to be there.

As earlier, as long as you remember that absolutely everyone wants to kill you, you'll be fine.
No exceptions, that's the easiest way to deal with it.

Why do certain motorists particulary Taxi drivers feel the need to leave little more than 2 feet gap when driving past agressively at speed?

Teenagers are normally fine I find, if anything it's the passenger that tries to do something comical or scarey that causes a problem.

The worst offenders tend to be taxi drivers and bus drivers in the built up areas. They see cyclists as second class.. if they see 'em at all.

Maybe it was a flesh light rather than a flash light. That's possibly why he wasn't paying attention to the road.

Please do not Google flesh light.

That taxi driver was a knobber. I hope he gets fingered. By and large, I'm hugely impressed by car, taxi, bus and WVM driving in central London. They have to be pretty good to survive on the road and that skill works in cyclists' favour.

It makes me a bit sad that a whole load of cyclists wind them up by RLJing. We all pay for that arrogant and selfish behaviour.

Last time I went into London on my bike, I pulled up at lights that had just gone red, but the taxi and a van in front of me just went straight through. The b@st@rds should pay for that arrogant and selfish behaviour, it winds me up.

Good grief I haven't been so incensed by a video for a LONG time.

If that taxi driver doesn't get the book thrown at him, then it's torches and pitchforks time!

EDIT wait, you say you spoke to the Public Carriage Office ... you also went to the police, right? Up to you but I feel you have a duty not only to yourself but to other road users to do the most you can to get this guy off the road!
