Forecast to be freezing again overnight tonight, the studded tyre wheelset will be deployed again for my morning commute. There is a lot of water on the roads in South Glos after some recent flooding.

Tell me aboud it! Struggled to get across the Thames this morning due to flooding (two routes are now closed). Forecast says -2'c tonight.

Floods+sub-zero ; please recommend me a tyre!

Popped my studs on last night but it was 4c so swapped round this morning. I'll put em back on when I get home for tomorrow. Guarantee 15c and tropical.

Same here - we don't have a lot of standing water though - it's already -1.

That's why I have mine on a separate bike, no way I'm swapping anything at 5am

Swapped back tonight. Only takes 3 minutes with wheels - and faffing round the garage as my handlebars got stuck under the pressure washer pipes... studs tomorrow.

Still not used my ice tyres! Went in Mon and Tue but wasn't icy so used other bike. WFH the rest of this week, but need to ride ice bike to run the tyres in.

Don't worry about running them in too much, just don't do skids.

Thru-axles, torque driver to do them up, then adjust the disc brake pads and a small tweak on the derailleur cable.
