I'm looking at your videos Matthew, please take this as constructive, not criticism because its difficult to guage your riding style, general positioning, what the drivers are like in your area, etc etc. So many videos, so many incidents. As said, more than ive seen in my entire cycling life of 40 plus years.

Some of the passes/incidents are genuinely close/wrong, no doubt, but i look at some of your videos and think...whats so wrong with that ?

I'm on record as saying i love my cycling and won't let the occasional stupid incident spoil it...i do wonder if you've allowed the incidents to change you perception of drivers and your reaction to them.

Perhaps i'm wrong, if so apologies, but perhaps you need to re-assess what you're getting back from cycling and change your style. Personally i use primary very very sparingly, i dont seem to suffer from doing so, traffic still moves, everyones happy. I prefer a strong secondary, it doesnt seem to inflame drivers, it still gives me room to move if i need to. Thats just one aspect, its not all about primary, more an overall style/positioning/ reaction etc etc.

As said, please take it as constructive (whether i'm right or wrong i dont know, i dont ride in your shoes)

Same here, with the caveat that I do ont ride in heavy city traffic but use primary rarely, and strong secondary mostly.

Another thing this also prove my point that caming defintely extends the agro, you get the original aggro, the aggro when you get home and repeatedly view it and then treble whammy the aggro when you come on here and post it lol

Chill out, ride friendly and ignore the plonkers!

Yet more incidents whereby you are screaming at traffic - albeit some of them rather close...

Do you really feel that this is the best and most appropriate behaviour on our friendly roads? Some of those drivers simply are idiots, some are fine, some don't see you or have any 'feel' for how threatened some cyclists get by cars.

I may also add that at times I actually watched one or two vids again as I couldn't work out what was wrong in teh 1st place. I have apologised to you before but I cant help feeling that you 'like' these 'incidents' and almost go looking for them?

On a much more important point, the way you seem to ride, position yourself and then abuse people loudly and at the slightest provocation means that someone is going to smack you one of these days - and I do soncerely hope it is not with his car/van rather than his fist (Not that I agree with either obviously)

I have called out to someone once recently and on another occasion simply braked hard and gestured (politely) whilst shaking my head! On the second occasion not only did I retain my almighty high moral ground () but more importantly teh car driver knew and apologised - the car behind simply looked at him and shaed his head in disbelief. Luckily nobody hurt! It will not always be so but it wont be because I behave like a c0ck and get punched or knocked off deliberately!

Maybe listen to people that disagree with you as much or more than people that agree? Just my personal thought..... Not meant to offend - honestly.

I have followed many of your posts, Matthew, and it looks to me like you are looking for a fight in every one of them. Why not throw away your video camera and try to enjoy you riding?

The vid in the OP is bad but many of the others aren't. One or two clips show no bad driving, yet you've put the drivers' details online. It's out of order.

drivers details? I presume you mean numberplate. Which is hardly the drivers details, just an identifier for the car which can't be linked to a person by joe public.

Ah, it's the dynamic duo! Give the zealotry a rest boys. It's unreasonable to put a critical video of someone on Youtube when they've done nothing wrong.

But still, I don't expect you to criticise your No.1 fanboy - I hope you'll feel suitably proud about egging him on when some irked driver eventually decks him.

Care to post an example of some unreasonable videos?

Egging him on? Come on lets not post BS, there is none of that going on.

Those of you claiming that you don't get incidents, suuuuurrrrree. Right. Every overtake you get is like this one. The real story is that you prefer to hide your head in the sand and accept it for your own peace of mind.

Sure, everyone gets the odd close pass. The difference is in how you deal with it. I might give a shake of the head and get on with my day, whereas some cam-cyclists will sqeal loudly at the offending driver, read out the reg plate in a tone of flustered indignation, then go home and re-live the incident again and again online.

Why bring all that hassle on yourself?
