Swerve out of the way or stay in primary?

What is the best thing to do in this situation? It keeps happening here and I am forced to swerve out of the way of people just because they are idiots.

That's what primary is partly for - first to dissuade the stupid overtake, and then to give you room to swerve left out of the way.

But he wasnt passing was he? He was just going to ram me from the side if I hadnt moved out of the way.

Another reason I was in primary there was that I was turning left after the traffic island. So this driver is lucky I didnt follow him and have a few words because they wouldnt have been polite at all! (Joking, I would have pointed out the error of his ways).

Primary is used to dissuade the driver by forcing him to recognize you as a potential hazard. However if the driver is determined to be a plonker there's not much you can do but get out of the way. any fight between a 12kg bike and a ton and a half car is going to end in tears and the tears are unlikely to be the drivers. discretion is the better part of valour and all that. glad you're ok.

I hate it when drivers dont recognise that they have caused an obstruction to me and put me in danger by what they have done. I never get a "Sorry" or wave of apology when I shout.
I have had one recently where a woman overtook me and then was forced to brake hard for a corner and I nearly rear ended her. I spoke to her and told her that she needs to plan ahead and she apologised. Once she did that I just said thank you and carried on.

All I want is an apology and then the drivers can do whatever they want.

Like the time you followed a van that cut you up, caught up with him and he got you to apologise to him...

He claimed that I had cut him up. The police agreed with me that he was talking out of his arse.

Okay, he would have clipped my handlebars with the rear of his car but it was still a dangerous manouvre.

TBH The reason I was so compliant with his was because of two things: I was shocked by this sudden act of threat, and I couldnt be bothered to prove that I was right because it was late in the evening.

I first got the cam in June and the videos which are on the net are simply a handfull of ones which I have stored on my PC. I have uploaded 100 onto youtube but I already have about 800. I just keep them just in case I come across the driver again and I need them for evidence (to show how they have behaved previously). The incidents have decreased with winter and me going out in the evening a lot but I still get the odd close pass and ASL abuser.
