Hey all

Sorry for another thread but work is sending me to Swansea next week for a few days and I won't have much to do in the evenings so was thinking if (its a big IF as hopefully my injury will be sorted too) I can fit the MTB in the boot I'd like to (if time permits of course) tackle any of the big climbs around there, so was looking for some tips from the locals on here?

Any good hills / routes (not too long as I won't have hours unfortunately :-( ) I can hit on quiet roads with some nice climbs along the way? anywhere reasonably driveable from Swansea would be great (but again not too far as wouldn't have loads of time, but country based would be good).

Thanks

Hi there. I am not a mtb er but the afan Valley trail is not far also Glyncorwg mountain bike center isnt more than about 30 minute drive from Swansea. If you carry on up the A4107 to the summit of Bwlch Mountain there is a gate on the left leading to more trails.

Can be lonely at the top , tell someone your up there just in case.

I have connected Afan valley trails to Glyncorrwg on the map to highlight where they are.

This is an old picture but I was up there on the road bike today by coincidence.
