Super compact crankset

i want to build a super compact crankset to go on my Ti with hollowtech II

I want either 46/30 or a 44/28 set up. 11speed ...........anybody built anything like this up? And what would i need to do it??

Building this crankset for a 5 day tour of the french alps in july

Yes, but an 11 speed chain will run on a 10 speed chainset and you can swap the 39t for a larger one. Just offering an economic solution.

Its defo an option and im looking at a sora 9 speed at the mo and looking at swapping the chainrings out

Fit a Deore 42 and whip the inner off, that'll give 42-32

You can just go out and buy an HT2 46/30 chainset, but it ain't cheap.

Using a triple with 2 chainrings is the cheap option, but there is the chance of chainline/front mech problems. I'd think that a road triple sans outer would be better than an MTB triple with no inner.

Spa cycles triple with chainguard in place of outer ring, needs un55 bb or similar. Quite a few threads on CTC forum
