Sunnglasses that look normal off the bike too?

As a short sighted person I have never had cause to look at sunglasses or at least normal ones. Now however I am going to try contacts due to increases in tech with them probably making them a viable option again. So I need sunnies. This has been and issue brought about by not being able to get good coverage with prescription sunglasses based around normal frames and more wrap around styles do not take my prescription in inserts.

So what is a good pair of sunglasses combining good light blocking covereage but also looking like they are more normal sunglasses. I do not want to look like an Aussie cricketer from the 90s when off the bike!! Oh and reasonable in the cost of them too. I am not moneybags or at least I am Scrooge before the ghosts came a visting!!

Reasonable price and performance I guess. I really have no idea about sunglasses having been a glasses wearer since the age of 7!!

Have a look at Optilabs/SportRx/Extreme Eyewear/Sunglass Hut/Boots/your local optician. What you think looks good is very individual, go try some on!

American Optical or the more expensive Randolph Engineering made to the same pattern.

Superb clarity, lenses with ballistic resistant properties so stones or bumble bees are a non-problem, and you'll look cooler than James Garner did in Grand Prix.

Worn by Apollo astronauts as they oribted the moon, official supplier to the US military pilots (and not Ray Ban as the movies would tell us), hard to best at any price.

Rayban Aviator style. Available in many much less expensive good quality copies.
Raybans were originally designed to block out as much sunlight as possible for pilots, hence the name, so they do it for me and have neve gone out of fashion unless you're particularly concerned about the latest styles - ! ^_^
