My daughter and son have both started track cycling (Wolverhampton Velodrome), my son is very much mostly learning how to control his little bike but my daughter who has a Giant MTB she is currently using needs to get a road bike to use on the track.

Any suggestions for a decent road bike for a 138cm, 10 year old girl. Looked at the Decathlon junior road bike for £250 and a couple of other have these and comments on these?

Assuming you want road (geared) bikes, not track bikes, then your options are probably 26" wheel offerings like the Islabike Luath or Dawes Espoir. The Decathlon bike has a fairly cheap drivetrain without sti shifters, which puts me off. The best kids racing bikes of all, in my opinion, are the Moda Major (650c) & Minor (24"). They're also some of the most expensive, but you do get what you pay for. My 8yo now rides a 650c Moda Major and it's made a huge difference to his riding. My 11yo daughter, who is only a couple of cm taller than yours, has just moved onto a small-framed 700c bike, which is another option to consider, and opens up many more choices...
