My experience with other Sugino cranks, that have a square taper not this octalink one is that NORMALLY they need a shorter BB length than advertised. For example I have a bike with a Sugino triple

That crank was advertised as needing a 115 mm crank. With that length crank the derailleur could not get the chain even onto the big ring. It ended up with a 109 or 107 mm bottom bracket length.
The length you need may depend upon the frame. If you a have a frame with a 28.6 diameter seat-tube the you need a little shorter BB than a 31.8 because the fatter tube places the derailleur 1.6 mm farther out. That does not sound like much but it is enough to sometimes be beyond derailleur's parameters. If you use a ratcheting front shifter that lets you trim shifts you are probably OK but I have a hard time getting indexed front derailleurs to work right on a Sugino crank regardless of the derailleurs manufacturer (I have used the cranks with Shimano, Campagnolo and NOS old Sun Tour).
The doubles work great but the triples are in my experience somewhat finicky. If you are a bike shop that has access to several lengths of cartridges or a big box of spacers for the BB then it isn't a huge deal but for the home mechanic they can be frustrating because you normally end up with either being able to shift to the small ring but having the chain drag on the outside edge of the cage or not being able to reliably shift to the inner ring. (I choose the second option and push the chain to the inner ring with toe but everyone has that skill).
I would suggest having a bike shop do the installation if you don't want to buy two or three bottom brackets or have various spacers.
This is a shame because they are fairly good cranks otherwise - especially for a budget build
