During the fuel protests a few years ago, I seriously considered riding round with a sign saying: "Dump the Pump? I boycott fillings stations every day!" However, it could have made me the target for reprisals, plus someone would eventually have outed me as a van driver for Royal Mail.

Sustrans have issued a whole stream of witty one-liners on their advertising gumph, but most rely on an amusing take on the accompanying photo, eg a line of cyclists with the caption: "At least your emissions only bother the person behind."
