Hey, I am considering buying one of these 3 bikes and wanted some opinions from more experienced riders.

I currently commute on a MTB that has been holding strong since I was 15, although this was 10 years ago and I have definitely outgrown it.

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/eastway-flyback-h1-tiagra-2016/ - Best value for money in terms of parts, but online purchase and no rack/mudguard support without adaptors so less suitable for commuting.

https://www.evanscycles.com/norco-vfr-1-disc-2016-hybrid-bike-EV243559 - £35 more, similar spec and can test in the store

https://www.evanscycles.com/hoy-shizuoka-002-2016-hybrid-bike-EV246155 - Well reviewed, but not the best value for money.

It will be used to commute 30 minutes to work which includes steep climbs, a light gravel path and road.

Your help is appreciated!

Evans are excellent for test rides, just need a bank card (1p deposit) and photo ID. If the day is dry, they are happy for you to be as long as you like, better to go in the week, when they are less busy, or early

Evans Pinnacle range offer good bang for buck too, so see if there's a model that suits

Order online for Quidco cashback, also if you have tesco clubcard vouchers you can double their value for use at Evans!

How are you defining value for the money! The best value bike is the one that is best for you regardless of the components

The best bike for you is the one that fits your body, your needs and your pocket best. Emphasis on being comfy on a bike. I can recommend having a bike fitting session, where they tweak stuff like handlebar/saddle height and handlebar stem length etc . It can banish stiff backs, painful neck and wrists and make your pedalling more efficient. You've probably got the bike now, but if you haven't had a fit and you're finding a few niggles, give it a try.
