Suggested rides around Huyton area of Liverpool

Hi,

I will be in Huyton this weekend with my bike (MTB). I was wondering if anyone can recommend any decent rides in the area. I'm not looking for anything too strenuous (still a chubbster) and time may be limited to an hour or so per day.
I look forward to your replies and who knows, bumping into one or two of you while I'm there.

Descent rides - no
Not looking for anything too strenuous - Yes

Look for The Liverpool Loop Line up to Aintree and back
Cheshire Lines from Maghull to Southport
Your could link these two for a longer ride
If you can safely get to Otterspool you could head north to the city
If you brave the foot paths north of the docks there are loads to the north
Crosby waterfront via the cycleway next to Altcar Barracks up to Ainsdale.

One mega loop could link all of these together if your free for the day or 1/2 day if you're a racer
