I'm the Peter Mann who lives in Ottawa Canada.....
The Lemond Reno has Bontragger SSR wheels. They're 780/1045g-1825g.
The wheels that most attract me without going to the $1000. range are EASTON EA90SL's - 646/886g-1532g. Anything else LESS expensive isn't a whole lot lighter than the wheels I already have, and wheels a fair bit lighter than the EASTON's are a LOT more expensive.
I was fited on my bike by an amateur racer who worked in the shop. That's not to say he knows it all but it seems to me a good starting point. If I experience pain or other problems I can have them adressed as they arrise.
I've got hold of a really cheap black 105 53/39-170 crank and am ordering a dura-ace BB for it.
